#AIDS2018

Newlands Clinic was represented at the International AIDS Conference in Amsterdam!

Our staff members Cleo Chimbetete, Tinei Shamu, Sandra Bote and Bahati Kasimonje presented results on different studies conducted on Mortality Trends among HIV-patients as well as the positive impact group counselling has on adherence in adolescent patients.

The presentations stimulated discussions around tuberculosis as an important cause of mortality and adolescents as key population who need innovative strategies of care. Co-participants were keen to learn more about our ePOC software, in which all patient data are recorded. As most facilities in developing countries still use paper-based record keeping systems and have more challenges to collect accurate data.

Thanks to all the contributors for five inspiring days!
