Ruedi Lüthy Foundation – at the heart of it all
Newlands Clinic is funded and run by the Swiss charitable organisation Ruedi Lüthy Foundation. Its goal is to combat HIV/Aids over the long term, and it seeks to achieve this by caring for HIV patients, training healthcare professionals and engaging in research.
Our parent organisation Ruedi Lüthy Foundation was set up in 2003 by the Swiss doctor and HIV/Aids specialist Prof. Ruedi Lüthy to provide comprehensive care for HIV and Aids patients in southern Africa. Prof. Ruedi Lüthy then moved to Zimbabwe to establish an outpatient HIV clinic in Harare. The Foundation now runs Newlands Clinic as well as its Training Centre and Women's Health Centre.
Long-standing donors and partners
Newlands Clinic works in collaboration with the Zimbabwe Ministry of Health and Child Care. The Ruedi Lüthy Foundation is funded by donations and by contributions from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). Other key partners include Swiss foundations and companies. We would like to sincerely thank all our partners and donors for their considerable support and commitment.
Many thanks for the support!
